Cindy Vendola Amaru is a self-taught mixed-media contemporary artist who lives in Connecticut USA.  She uses oils and acrylics with a combination of palette knifes and brushes to create abstract contemporary images on canvas.  She then digitally modifies her paintings to create various unique pieces.  She designs unique clothing from her art.

Her inspiration expands while in the process of digital modification, thus creating multiple variations from her original acrylic or oil painting.  She is inspired by strong vibrant colors which she feels are associated with positive thoughts and feelings.  She is also inspired by the high contrast and contemporary vibes of her black and white pieces.

Cindy’s paintings are inspired by things she feels passionate about such as love, peace, gratefulness, helping and inspiring others through her art to make a difference in the lives of others in need of help.  She often donates her paintings and proceeds to non-profits and people in need. She recently custom painted several paintings and donated them to a women’s shelter which helps young mothers’ and their children. Currently 10% of proceeds from her Trucker LOVE hats will be donated to help a sweet 5 month old boy, Matthew who sadly is battling Leukemia.

Cindy believes strongly in conveying her passion and positivity through art for all things that bring us joy and happiness and are significant in our life and her desire is to inspire and touch the hearts of as many people as possible through her art. “If my art inspires or makes a positive impact to others, then I consider myself a successful artist”.
